Spending my Money in the Sales

This is the first time I’ve ever written about something like this and to be honest I’m not sure how much writing there is actually going to be! I just wanted to share pretty pictures with you guys of some cute things I found on sale so you can go find them too!

I bought these all fairly recently so if you are interested in anything, hopefully you can still source them. Though full disclaimer; I didn’t buy the potted succulent in a sale or even recently. I just thought it looked nice in the photo…

First up are these rose gold crochet hooks from Hobbycraft. I’ve been thinking about learning how to crochet so I figured a good starting point would be to buy some crochet hooks! I knew I wanted to get a few but had no idea what sizes would be best, and with their individual hooks around £2 each I didn’t want to go overboard and spend loads. Enter this lovely little set. The packaging is basic and nowhere near as pretty as the actual hooks but I got 8 crochet hooks for £3 down from £5. Bargain!

These little eraser cuties are from Paperchase! I’m a sucker for miniatures and pink versions of things that shouldn’t be pink, so of course I had to have them! I straight up know and admit I will never use these but I’m okay with that. They look perfect as they are in their little box so I’m keeping them in there forever. For £3.15 down from £4.50 they’re a fun little buy.

Funny story with this find from TK Maxx. I had absolutely no idea what it was when I bought it! Okay not really that funny but I couldn’t find anything on it saying what it was and I was intrigued. I figured it lit up but wondered if it made any sound or had coloured lights or something. It was also cute, retro looking and made of wood, which I love, so at £3 (down from £4) I just went for it. Turns out it is just a light with no other features which, in hindsight, I should have realised from the lack of speakers on it anywhere! I’m still pleased with my purchase though because why would I not be happy with a cute retro cassette player light!

Last up is my new convention bag for sure! This beauty is also from Paperchase and was £17.50 down from £25. It’s made from a pink fabric featuring a quilted heart design and is iridescent so it glistens lots of beautiful rainbow colours when moved about! This makes the bags rainbow zip and pastel rainbow straps just the perfect accompaniment for an overall mega cute look! It’s also a decent size, being around the same height as your average 30cm ruler. I’ll definitely be able to comfortably fit my convention handbag essentials in there! What are you waiting for then, go get one!

If you’re interested in any of the items, last I looked Paperchase still stocked both their items on their site with a good stock level but the crochet hooks and cassette player light were unavailable on their respective sites. You might be lucky though and get them from your local stores!

Happy shopping everyone and I’d love to see any cute bargains you’ve managed to snap up!
